As marketers, we must stay focused on connecting with customers and learning what inspires them.
Predicting what people want, need, or love may seem like magic, but it's actually a mix of art and science.
This is where search engine optimization (SEO) comes in.
I remember launching a new product once, many years back. The business was fully engaged; we had sharp video work, over 7,000 words of sterling content, and the ad dollars to back it up. But I didn't invest the time in SEO to fully connect with my customers. And the campaign flopped.
It wasn't until I discovered digital marketing and SEO that I was able to both accelerate and improve the performance of the marketing programs I was leading.
